Hermès at Checoeslovaquia

Laboratory by Nomad Academy directed by Millaray Lobos.

Jan Patočka, philosopher of the “Velvet revolution” in the old Czechoslovakia, defines a human world where what is essential is not what it is, but what it can be.

Nomad academy-Provisional Association was created back in 2012 by Millaray Lobos after an extense career as an actress in different european scenarios. It is a a theatrical and reflexive research device whose vocation is the creation of spaces of exchange and (un) discipline based on the translation of practices and the encounter of worlds. The notions of “atention”, “resonance” and “displacement” are key concepts for the purpose of creating ecosystems conducive to a life of ideas that organically and sensibly articulate thinking and moving.

The encounter between Espacio Checoeslovaquia and Nomad Academy has taken the shape of unconditional hospitality where creative spaces and non-existent countries collide. Our friendship and trust translates into the residence “Hermès in Czechoslovakia” that interlace an investigation about Attention phenomenons and Collective individuation and the reflection and  poetic interpretation of the industrious work of Czechoslovakia.
